Taste the chocolate

Taste the chocolate

At the entrance to the Chocolatier, there are three large bowls of chocolate. Chocolatiers use white, milk and dark chocolate to create their beautiful creations. But the best part is that you can taste them! Start your visit with a delicious sample – your taste buds will beg for more.

Witness the chocolate treats-making

Once inside, head to the significant display cases to watch the chocolatiers at work, who have been trained in Europe. They have excellent skills to create the variety of treats on offer. The team works hard to produce more than 250 chocolates, including those for special occasions such as Christmas and Easter.

Indulge at the Café

Chocolaterie offers a wide range of delicious chocolates and sweets. Enjoy them with coffee or hot chocolate. The cafe provides views of the hills of the Yarra Valley. All dishes on the menu are prepared using products from the garden and orchards or local products from farms in the Yarra Valley.

Store up on goodies

This is the perfect place to buy delicious chocolate treats, from gourmet chocolate blocks to decadent balls and cocoa-based pieces of chocolate. If you have a sweet tooth, immerse yourself in your childhood memories and feel the joy of a child among all the variety of treats. Plenty of gift options exist here, especially if you’re visiting at Easter or Christmas.

Eat a scoop of ice cream

If chocolate is not enough, we also offer ice cream! Try a few flavours, and your taste buds will beg for more. Ice cream is made on-site from local products and is the perfect daily treat. When the sun comes out, it’s time to buy a ball and go out on the lawn in the garden to enjoy the view.

Daily tastings

Participants will receive a guided chocolate factory tour with a tasting of 12 handmade chocolates, information on the sources of ingredients and an introduction to the techniques of European chocolatiers. The tastings cost $3 per person and occur daily at 10:00, 11:00, 13:00 and 14:00, subject to availability. Reservations are not required; please contact a team member on the day of the session to be allocated a seat.

Visit Melbourne’s Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Cream, a Melbourne-based chocolate workshop and ice cream factory. You will have the opportunity to take part in an exclusive chocolate tasting. In addition to all of the above, you can also try your hand at chocolate tasting. A friendly staff member in the chocolate workshop’s private tasting room will introduce you to a range of fine chocolates. These chocolates have unusual flavours because they are made of ingredients grown in the kitchen garden. Chocolate tasting is a fun way to treat yourself and learn more about how chocolate is made.
