Start your day with an Australian chocolate extravaganza at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery. Chocoholics will love the Willy Wonka-esque wonderland we visit. Explore and choose from over 250 chocolate products, all made with local ingredients, single origin, Belgian couverture chocolate and cocoa butter. Learn about the history of chocolate and the journey of the cacao bean from the jungles of South America and Africa to your mouth. See the art of chocolate making and watch it transform into all sorts of tasty treats. As a part of the Cocoa Horizons program, you’ll also learn about the initiative to improve the lives of cocoa farmers, their communities and the environment through sustainable farming practices.
We have left some free time in Healesville for our guests to have lunch and explore this lovely town which is the gateway to the Yarra Valley. Unlike our traditional winery tours, our itinerary is designed to give our guests a real local experience. We encourage you to wander the shops, cafes and restaurants, and if you want to, you can visit Four Pillars Gin Distillery, Matilda Bay Brewery or Alchemy Distillers at your own expense.
This exclusive wine tour allows you to discover the hidden Yarra Valley in a small group, away from the tourist crowds. We visit premium scenic wineries and local producers, so you can meet the makers and indulge in the best of this world-class region.
During the day, you will visit three premium cellar-door wineries, including St Huberts (1), Medhurst Wines (2) and an undisclosed beautiful winery chosen by us, like Yering Farm Wines, Helen & Joey’s Estate or Stefani Estate Cellar Door (3) and other cellar-doors to explore.
Please note winery destinations may change due to unforeseen circumstances such as group sizes, special events and cellar-door closures. The driving distance for the tour is 140km.

Can I buy wine at the cellar door during the tour?
Yes, you can buy it at the cellar door during the tour. You may find wines that are only available at the Australian winery. Plus, award-winning wineries often have special deals at the cellar door so that you can snag a great deal.
Can I walk between wineries in the Yarra Valley?
No, you can’t walk between wineries in the Yarra Valley. It’s too far. It would take almost an hour to walk between each amazing winery.
Are there tasting fees in the Yarra Valley?
Yes, all tasting fees are included in the tour price when you book with us.
How long are the tastings?
At each award-winning winery, you can taste a glass of wine and learn about the winemaking process. Each winery has set tasting sessions of around 20-30 minutes. These include tasting the wine and learning about the winemakers’ methods.
How much wine is in a tasting?
A standard tasting pour is 2-3 ounces (75-90 ml) which is about half a glass. A bottle of wine has about 10 tastes.
What if the weather is bad?
If it’s raining or bad weather, we will still go ahead with the tour, and you’ll have a glass of red wine on a wet day.
What else can I do besides cellar and winery tours?
You’ll get to see the beautiful Victoria countryside and taste treats from the Yarra Valley Chocolate and Ice Creamery. We also leave some time for you to explore Healesville, the quaint town at the entrance of the Yarra Valley.
